Derived from the Irish word Caoimhín, which is itself derived from coém and gein, which mean ‘handsome’ and ‘birth.’ Kevin of Glendalough is the earliest known Kevin—a 7th-century Irish saint who became a patron of Dublin. I even have a chapel named after me. And for those who may wonder, Giovan is my middle name.
