The Peruvian highlands. 12000ft. above sea level. Rests the remains of a once-great empire. Long before the Spanish set their avarice on their world, there were the Incas. There were several native tribes throughout the Andes mountains, but the Incas sat atop the very apex of the region. Today, the ruins of Machu Picchu ruins rest as a testament, recalling a time when they used to rule the world. It was unlike anything I have ever seen, and I hope to see more places like that all over the earth.
